Dear Brother Knights and ALL who visit the KOVAR Website,

Welcome to the Knights of Virginia helping God’s Special People (KOVAR) Website. We are a family fraternal organization. One of our cornerstones is to help non-profit organizations that assist persons with Intellectual Disabilities. The KOVAR Board was stood up in 1971 and to this date has given out $12 Million. 

KOVAR has helped hundreds of organizations succeed in their missions to improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of individuals throughout Virginia.  If you are a brother knight or a family member of a brother knight, please contact your councils KOVAR chairman to find out how you can assist. If you are a visitor to our website please contact your local council to help.

With your assistance KOVAR makes a difference each and every day. Remember that fundraising for KOVAR is a year round event, whether through second source events, the KOVAR April 17-20 Drive, the Food Lion fundraising, charitable giving at work or collections at your church.  However you are able, the KOVAR Board of Directors and I wish you much success in the upcoming Campaign.

To My Virginia Knights, family and friends,

    Thank you for taking the time to visit the KOVAR website.  KOVAR was organized in 1971 and  as of today has given out grants in excess of $10 million dollars, and home loans in excess of $2.5 million.  I want to encourage you to continue to assist KOVAR. Each one of “God’s Special People” needs our assistance 24/7. If you have any questions please contact the KOVAR President Lanny White or any one of the directors. A complete list of the directors can be found on this website under directors.

   My theme this year is Team Virginia and one of the pillars of our order is charity.  One of the many ways we show  how charity works is through our KOVAR program.
